Shearling

This brown shearling jacket had been collecting dust in my closet for about three years now and I can't remember ever actively wearing it out until last weekend. It's still quite cold around here, with snow coming and going but the thick shearling material has done a pretty good job keeping me warm. Kept the rest of the outfit quite casual and roomy, since we had a succulent feast at my dad's for lunar new year. Happy Lunar New Year to everyone celebrating by the way!

We Are Golden

First outfit post of 2013 and to ring the new year in the right way, I thought I'd throw in a bit of gold and glitter here and there. Excuse the facial expressions (or lack of) in  the pics, I swear I was in a good mood, I mean it is the new year, and I am embracing it with enthusiasm and hope for all good things.
My coat by the way, is a new and beloved purchase, but I will post about it and the other clothing I bought later on.

Every year is the same old dilemma (for me at least). What coat should I get this winter? I'll be honest, it's not like I am lacking in the coat department, but for me coats kind of lose their charm after one winter, sure I still wear those I bought years ago, but yet again I always go on the hunt for a new one once the weather cools down. Currently I am browsing online for a coat that preferably I won't see on anyone else in my town and I put together a few utopian choices of different types of them here. Do you guys have any good recommendation for online shops that carry nice and especially warm coats? Suggestions are very welcome.  Until then I am left drooling over one or the other piece that probably will never make it into my closet.
