Seeing red

 I've been actually terrible at updating this blog, only now getting back on track, trying to show you guys the last pictures of my Hamburg trip. I was feeling unmotivated and creatively unsatisfied but I am trying to get over this slump. Looking back at these pictures makes me feel slightly nostalgic, in need of a holiday again guys.

Hier auf dem Blog hat nun zu lange Funkstille geherrscht und ich versuche endlich wieder in den Rhythmus der Dinge zu kommen und zeige euch eine der letzten Bilder aus Hamburg. Habe mich in letzter Zeit ziemlich unmotiviert und kreativ unzufrieden mit dem Blog gefühlt aber versuche aus diesem Tief rauszukommen. Wenn ich diese Bilder hier anschaue werde ich doch ein wenig nostalgisch, ach Leute ich brauche einfach Urlaub!

Midriff Moments

 Showing a tiny bit of midriff today, which is usually not my kind of style but as I was getting ready to go grocery shopping (yes I am that kind of girl that gets excited for nothing) I felt like pairing these high-waisted shorts with a cropped top. Probably a bit fancy for an everyday look but I can see myself rocking the midriff for a good party.

Ich zeige heute ein klein wenig Mut zum Bauch, was sonst nicht wirklich mein Stil ist. Aber als ich mich fürs Einkaufen fertig gemacht habe (ja mich erfreuen sogar triviale Dinge wie der Lebensmitteleinkauf), wollte ich mal zur Abwechslung meine High-Waist Shorts mit einem Crop-Top kombinieren. Wahrscheinlich etwas too much für einen Alltagslook aber für eine Party kann ich mir den Look gut vorstellen.

Pyjama-rama

 The heatwave has arrived and last week must have marked the hottest week of the year so far. Lucky me I fell sick right after the hottest day and finally kind of recuperated. Bless the heat but I am glad the temperatures have dropped a bit below the 30°Celsius mark. 

As for the outfit, I am obsessed with these pj -style pants, they might look sluggish but they are so comfortable and airy, totally fine for the hot weather.

What's your take on the pyjama style? yay or nay?

Die Hitzewelle hat uns letze Woche erreicht und am Dienstag war der gefühlt heißeste Tag des Jahres. Natürlich musste ich gleich danach krank werden und habe mich heute endlich ein wenig erholt. Nichts gegen die Hitze aber ich bin froh dass die Temperaturen wieder unter die 30° Grenze gerutscht sind. 

Kommen wir zum Outfit, ich bin regelrecht verliebt in diese Pyjamahosen, für manche sehen sie vielleicht nicht ausgehfähig aus aber sie sind so gemütlich und luftig, perfekt also für das heiße Wetter.

Dark Paradise

 To some it might not be an option but my favorite person to go shopping with is actually my boyfriend. It is probably due to the fact that he is pretty interested in fashion and clothing himself so I can safely say that he is the one person whose opinion on hits and misses I usually trust the most.

Boyfriend was away in Berlin for a few days last week and he surprised me with some amazing goodies. The necklace I am wearing as well as those major palm print pants were selected by him. You can imagine my surprise and excitement. It sounds stupid, but I am glad we share the love for fashion, otherwise it would be a pain to go shopping, something I am constantly doing. Grateful I have found a man with taste :)

Für manche mag es keine Option sein aber die Person mit der ich am liebsten shoppen gehe ist mein Freund. Es liegt wahrscheinlich daran dass er selbst recht interessiert an Mode und Klamotten ist, weswegen er definitiv meine erste Ansprechperson ist wenn es um go's und no-go's in Sachen Mode geht. Er war letzte Woche für einige Tage in Berlin und hat mich mit richtig tollen Geschenken überrascht. Die Kette die trage, wie ich die Hose hat er mir ausgesucht. Ihr könnt euch vorstellen wie sehr ich mich gefreut habe. Es klingt vielleicht doof, aber ich bin froh dass wir die Liebe zur Mode teilen, sonst wäre es ziemlich anstrengend shoppen zu gehen, und ich bin ständig am shoppen. Ich bin  definitiv dankbar einen Mann mit Geschmack gefunden zu haben :)

High Fidelity

 I have been a bit busy the past week, trying to tick every thing on my to-do list off, which includes dreadful paperwork, email writing, and appointments but I can't tell you how rewarding it is to tick those points of one by one in your to-do list. I never used to believe in lists and more in spontaneity but let's be real here, spontaneity never actually gets things done. 

 On today's list: watching Pretty Little Liars, studying spanish and doing laundry. Oh bless my glamorous life.

Die letzte Woche gab es recht viel zu tun bei mir, ich habe versucht alle Punkte auf meiner To-Do Liste abzuhaken, was leider auch Papierkram, Emails schreiben und Termine beinhaltet, aber ich sage euch, es gibt (fast) nichts befriedigenderes als einen Punkt nach dem anderen von dieser Liste abzuhaken. Ich habe früher nie an Listen geglaubt und lieber auf Spontanität gesetzt, aber sind wir mal ehrlich, Spontanität erledigt nicht wirklich viel. 

Auf der to-do Liste für heute: Pretty Little Liars schauen, Spanisch lernen und die Wäsche bügeln. Was für ein glamouröses Leben.

I was just Frontin'

 Casual baseball tee and holographic slipper time. Fell in love with that baseball tee right away when I saw it on the Asos page. Reminded me of one of my all time favorite songs, Frontin by Pharrell. Going out to enjoy the beautiful day now.

Zeit für ein lässiges Baseball shirt und holographische Slipper. Ich habe mich auf Anhieb in dieses Baseball shirt verliebt als ich es auf der Asos Seite gefunden habe. Erinnert mich an eines meiner Lieblingslieder, Frontin by Pharell. Ich werde nun den wunderschönen Tag im Freien genießen.

Blue Business

I love buying clothes individually to figure out at home that certain items create the perfect match matchy look, as seen in this outfit. I bought those pants over a year ago and this blazer I picked up during my trip to New York in the beginning of the year turned out to be its match made in heaven. I've been loving the matching color trend anyways, makes every outfit so much more put together and suit-like.

Ich liebe es, Klamotten zu kaufen und zu Hause dann zu merken, dass sie kombiniert mit gewissen Stücken aus meinem Kleiderschrank das perfekte matchy Outfit erstellen. Die Hose habe ich bereits über ein Jahr und zusammen mit dem Blazer den ich Anfang des Jahres in New York ergattert habe, ergeben sie ein Traumpaar wie es im Modebuche steht. Ich stehe momentan sowieso sehr auf diesen Ton-in Ton Trend, macht jeden Look eleganter und uniformhaft.

Kiss the Frog

Sometimes the backdrop of your pictures becomes more relevant than the actual outfit. Can't believe this wonderful garage painting is right around the corner of my place and I have only taken advantage of it now. There will definitely be more outfits taken here from now on.  As for my outfit, I wanted to go the slightly edgy grungy road, pairing really ancient pieces in my wardrobe, such as this cropped top and the plaid shirt tied around the waist. Kind of like the 90es vibe.

Manchmal ist der Hintergrund deiner Bilder wichtiger als das was du eigentlich an hast. Ich kanns gar nicht glauben dass diese coole Garagengraffiti gleich bei mir um die Ecke steht und ich erst jetzt dazu gekommen bin vor ihr Bilder zu machen. Ab jetzt werden hier definitiv mehr Looks geschossen. Was mein Outfit angeht, wollte ich ein bisschen Grunge in mein Outfit stecken und habe ziemlich alte Teile meines Kleiderschrankes kombiniert, wie das Croptop und das karierte Hemd um die Hüften. Ich mag diesen 90es Grunge.

Texture

Spring may be up and coming but I still like my black and white monochrome outfits. Mixing and matching prints and textures into an otherwise plain look gives the muted colors a little extra something.

Der Frühling mag schon in den Startlöchern stehen aber ich mag immer noch gerne meine monochromen schwarz/weiß Outfits. In dem ich verschiedene Muster und Texturen kombiniere wird ein sonst schlichtes Outfit etwas aufgepeppt.
